Hey - welcome to THR!
Since my initial work with pics to help the process, I added a more detailed video on YouTube with commentary - could be that will be of use to you and others. I think I forgot to add the link to it.
Check it out here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkyBBIr_w_E...
Ed ........
I happen to have used 4759 for experimental rifle reloads with hard cast lead bullets and have quite a lot of it. Just interested re what loads you have found useful with that for 12G plastic hulls (whether compression formed or not etc) - and whether shot or slug etc. If you...
A web search on the Browning Hi-Power will actually probably find you an article with details - the FEG is a very close clone. Steven Camp has a site which may give info - http://www.hipowersandhandguns.com/
Basically ..... remove mag and clear chamber - safety first. Pull slide back until...
Pauly,
I am not familiar with a version as old as yours and can only judge by mine which is approx 10 years old but would expect things to not have changed much over the years. The tube mag is normally a 15 round max capacity. Your ''grabbers'' are the extractors and from my observations both...
Probably should have started a new thread for this but - I'd check out Starline brass - they seem to produce most everything. I use them for some excellent 45-70 brass.

Some folks call this loosely a "Derringer" tho that's debatable. OTOH it is small (very small!) and so inherently pocketable. With the .22 Mag rounds it is supposed to achive approx the same MV as a std .22LR from a rifle - maybe around 1200 fps . not stellar but not shabby either IMO.
Nicely...
The THR "Ghost" here!!!
Larry kindly sent me some links after we had a very pleasant chat via Skype this evening - what a great way to stay in touch.
Excellent thread and super pics ..... oh to have been there. Larry said Art drove 750 miles for it - guess for me that'd be nearer 1200 to...
No updates I am afraid! Despite wanting to run exhaustive tests time never seems to allow.
My thinking right now is twofold -
1) - The alteration to something approximating a wad cutter certainly punches much nicer holes in paper - whether grouping greatly superior have not really evaluated...
Two comments - Marlin 45 - not sure of meaning of ''caveat" - maybe I didn't read back far enough. Anyways, JMO but Blue Dot is somewhat on the edge for .357 if loads get heavy - bit fast perhaps. I would not think mag primers necessary. I f a wish to push top loads and add mag primers then...
Really not sure on this - I am not sure of compatibility between newer and much older models, tho I suspect little will have changed.
I think best option might be to try and contact Marlin to get some good tech advice.
I never considered that as an option but best I can tell there is no other barrel which would suit. Of course with suitable machining facilities etc and a good barrel blank - pretty much anything ''could'' be done!!
I think it does pretty OK as it is - just a very inexpensive semi .22.
After some prompting -- I decided to put this up on YouTube altho the pics are the same - just spread them out with some sound track.
As ever, just hope this in part at least helps simplify the process for those new to the deal.
