stupid me :banghead: lol I thought by cut in the barrel nut there was some groove it had to go into. I forgot about the gas tube. so basically you just put the spring into the slip ring, then the retaining ring in afterwards, making sure the gas tube port is fully aligned?

also my setup spikes stripped lower DD LPK magpul stock stripped BCM upper with bushmaster parts DD Barrel w FSB individually handguard and gas tube parts since the DD assembly didn't include those.

i think people just buy into the hyperbole that .45 is the most powerful round ever. look at all the people, like memphisjim above, who believe things like shooting someone in the fingertip with a .45 will put them down but you need a couple shots of 9mm in center mass to do the same thing.
