Clear out a pellet gun barrel?!

This is by far your best bet. I had a main spring fail and lodge a .177 pellet in the barrel. A trip to the local hardware store for a couple different sized wooden dowels and some gentle tapping solved the problem without any damage to the barrel. -Paul

anyone else feel uncomfy around people who look like "gun nuts?"

I Blame Personal Defense/Best Defense TV Shows Sometimes it can be a little humorous. I was at the indoor range last week when a guy came in wearing shiny new 5.11 boots, 5.11 pants, a bat belt full of accessories, and his freshly pressed Gunsite Academy polo shirt. At first I thought he...

    Glock Night Sites

Interesting thread. I have had Glock night sights on my G26 for 6 years now. They are noticably dimmer, but still functional in no light environments. This is my first set of night sights and I am/was under the impression that the useful life was somwhere around 5-6 years. Is this the...

    Starting a "well-organized militia"

CERT For those (including the OP) who really want to help, try CERT. The training is locally oriented and comprehensive. http://www.citizencorps.gov/cert/ Although we train primarily for disaster prep and response, there is an unstated need for security. Folks who can help with both are...

Do you carry extra ammo / reload for your CCW?

Even if I don't need it, I find the extra mag/carrier simply balances my belt weight better. -Paul
