lee has a new single stage press coming out Lee APP

@9mmepiphany Pneumonia so bad it put you in the hospital is darn scary. Glad to hear you are doing better... the whole struggling to breathe thing that goes along with pneumonia that severe is something so horrible, people who haven’t been through it can just never even imagine how awful it is...

    Taming the Dillon Shell Plate

Yup, I do wet tumble, but I can chuck them in the wiggler for a few minutes after they come out of the dryer to put a bit of polish on 'em. At @9mmepiphany 's suggestion (in another thread), I increased the bell by a bit yesterday. Now the bullets are set onto the brass hard enough at the...

    Finally Got a Bullet Feeder

Well, that did it. I adjusted the powder-through-expander die to put just a bit more of a bell on the case, and I can now take a piece of brass that just had a bullet set on it out of the press, turn it upside down, and tap the base of it without the bullet coming off. Then proceeded to load...

    Finally Got a Bullet Feeder

DAA uses that particular M Die to go along with their bullet setting die. Both are a matched pair, for .3555 diameter bullets. Using a .357 diameter bullet takes both of them out of their respective parameters; I doubt there'd be an issue at all if I was loading .3555 FMJ's. The setting die sits...

Who sells a good 9mm flat point or swc 124gr bullet

SWC's can be troublesome to get to run well in 9mm semi autos. If possible, you'll want to get a few samples and try them out before buying in bulk. Some guns (those with generous throats) will eat them like candy, while others will just choke.

    Finally Got a Bullet Feeder

I have a huge assortment of expander dies... My last "pet bullet" required NOE's .360/.357 expander in order to keep from swaging down the bullet to too small of a diameter. My current bullet (the one discussed here in this thread) requires the standard 9mm expander, as anything larger results...

    Finally Got a Bullet Feeder

That's extremely helpful, thank you! I can imagine that if it's setting the bullet into the case hard enough that it won't fall out when it's inverted, it's definitely set hard enough in the case to survive a shell plate advancement without tipping slightly. I'm going to go up to the reloading...

    Taming the Dillon Shell Plate

This one. They're sized to .357 after powder coating. I really should take a look at that Hornady die... OK, so first off, that's the smoothest running Dillon shell plate I've ever seen. Second, my mind is just blown at all your cool stuff. My bench is rock solid... It's lag bolted into wall...

    Finally Got a Bullet Feeder

I'll mess around with it some more, but I currently have it setup to exactly match the picture shown on the installation instructions as far as how the bullet should look when it's set on top of the case. I think part of the issue is that it's a .357 diameter bullet, not the .3555 that the DAA...

    Finally Got a Bullet Feeder

Yup, but thanks for checking. :) The Mini Mr Bullet Feeder comes with an M die powder-through-expander funnel.

    Taming the Dillon Shell Plate

I probably wasn't clear in the OP... I've actually had the shell plate calmed down enough so that it isn't tossing powder out of the case for years now (using the lighter ball and spring), so that's not the issue. The issue is that it still jiggles enough that it's upsetting the perfectly...

    Finally Got a Bullet Feeder

When I first got my 1050 four years ago, I was having powder spilling problems on a 9mm load, and was able to get the shell plate jump under control well enough with the lighter spring and ball that it no longer throws powder out of the cases. And that's worked just fine until now. But there's...

    Taming the Dillon Shell Plate

I should've noted that this was for a Dillon 1050 press, @RodII. Edited the OP to add that.

    Taming the Dillon Shell Plate

Over the years, there have been quite a few threads/posts about guys having problems with Dillon shell plates jumping during advancement. This results in either powder getting tossed from brass, bullets from bullet feeders getting tipped over, or both. There have been a lot of third-party...

    Finally Got a Bullet Feeder

@jmorris I was just curious as to what your opinion is on the Level 10 Innovations shell plate stabilizer? You know, for those of us that aren't handy enough to make our own. ;) I doubt you have one, but you're the kind of guy that can pretty much just look at a product and tell if it's gonna...
