Not going to happen! They wouldn’t even sell me a firing pin! They were more than happy to sell me a 45 acp to 40 S&W conversion though.. I could see it if there we’re replacing the whole gun, but it is already yours and you should be able to send and receive directly without any ffl involved...

My experience is that it hit and miss. Some lots are pretty good, others, not so much!

I’ve got the compact in 40 S&W. To me it’s not so much a cary gun as it is a pickup console gun. It shoots great and since it’s a hand full recoil isn’t bad at all.

Anyone else have a problem getting all 10 cartridges in the 10 round 1911 9mm magazines? My OEM Rock Island 10 round magazine refuses to let the 10 th round load, in fact it doesn’t particularly like the 9th round either. My Brownell’s brand magazines work pretty well.
