Wow-Love those rare S&W Schofields ! Wish I had gotten a pair when they came out back when. I once saw for sale some time ago serial numbers 1 & 2 that were fully S&W factory engraved. They were in the big five figure range at the time. Never saw them since.

I'd really like to find a mint Ruger Old Army fixed sight model in stainless, but it would have to be at a real good price. I wonder if and hoping that Ruger will bring that one back soon. Also I would like to get Ruger's new AR someday.

Thanks Craig, I surely remember that and actually what gave me the idea in getting the nylon ones years back. I went with the nylon as it was more easily adjustable, and being nylon, was less likely to cause any future problems, especially with MOP.

Red dots, Lasers, and Scopes all have their place of course, absolutely. But, for a non-le CCW who is just up and about the town and carries for SD, the point and shoot or irons are the ticket. I coined this phrase some time ago: "While you're looking for the dot you will be shot".

Well be'n older and all, bad vision becomes a target shooters nightmare. I got my peepers all fixed up recently with one of those lens replacement laser guys and no it wasn't Crimson Trace lol, and now I can see out 20/20 long. But, I still need reaaders for close work when cleaning them up...
