... you're right ... it was kinda "dumb" of me wasn't it ... the Winchester (Miroku) 94 Trails End in 450 Marlin (6 3/4 pounds unloaded) comes with an internal muzzle brake that might as well be a bouquet of daffodils ... I now have a BLR '81 lightweight stainless takedown in 308 Win (also make...
... bought a Winchester (Miroku) Trails End 1894 takedown in 450 Marlin and a couple of boxes of Buffalo Bore 430 grain hardcast ammo ... at the range after a couple of shots my cheek and shoulder felt like I went a couple of rounds as Iron Mike Tysons punching bag ... that gun was off to the...
For BLR takedown I use a Quake Claw shotgun sling with the conventional stud at the butt end and the loop at the muzzle end that constricts around the barrel very securely when carrying and won’t slip off.
Won’t interfere with takedown operation and doesn’t require drilling the forearm.
I don’t...
Miroku made BLR ‘81 stainless takedown in 308 Win.
EGW scope mount.
Leupold viii 1.75-6x33mm
Leupold vii ultralight 3-9x28mm
Both scopes receiver mounted with QRW rings and return to “0” +/- 1/2” after complete takedown of rifle and removal of scope and reassembly.
Most accurate ammo tested...
I have 3 Miroku BLR Lightweight ‘81s.
2 stainless and 1 blue.
All takedowns.
Very happy with them in regards to workmanship, functionality and accuracy.
Just acquired a Henry Long Ranger carbine in 243 Win.
Have yet to assess this gun.
The Australian laws are doing what they were designed to do and that is disarm Australians.
The agenda was not public safety but disarmament and control of the masses.
That’s what all gun control laws are about.
Yah, even my cooey 410 looks like a custom purdey shotgun beside that thing.
At Rossi/braztech they should be hanging their heads in shame.
The whole point I suppose is they have no shame or pride in product.
I had 3 of the 92s and a rio grande (336 facsimile) in 30-30 as well as an overland sxs and sold them all.
They weren't bad guns.
I give the rossis about a C- grade overall.
The most recent remlins are a B- grade in my opinion.
That seems to be the consistent feedback I get about rossi customer service. SLOW AND STUPID. Add refusal of rossi to sell you parts to the mix and you’re sunk if (when) you get a lemon gun.
The chiappa 92 carbine in 44 mag I had for a while was a good gun with real walnut stocks good w/m fitting and workmanship and slick as an eel in a pail of grease.
My oldest kid stayed on my case until I finally gave in and to date he’s downed 4 bucks with it.
The pumas made for LSI by amadeo rossi were good.
The 92s made by amadeo rossi for Navy Arms back in the day were even better with excellent w/m finishing and workmanship and real walnut stocks.
The new braztech r92s with their taurus lawyer junk are a crap shoot when it comes to quality.
Some...
My Amadeo Rossi M92 lever action in 454 Casull had BOTH.
You could load it like a Henry from a slot in the tube magazine and it also had a loading gate in the side of the receiver.
I'd like to see Ruger buy either marlin or rossi or both.
Freedom Group is the kiss of death for any gun company it takes over.
FG has done more damage to the gun making industry by destroying its credibility with its customer base than the clintons, the brady bunch and bloomberg put together.
