I'm looking to buy either a DDM4 V7 or a Troy carbine. They are both listed for $1399 but the DD has no sights so it will end up being a couple hundred more. It will be my one AR for range/defense but it is not my first.
Thoughts on the two guns? Is the DD worth $200 more?
I'm leaning DD...
Buy a Glock and an AR and shoot the lights out of 'em.
I sold everything I owned except an a G17 and an AR. I needed money for health reasons and realized I was happier with a thinner collection I could shoot and know. Of course I kept my Dillon.
For me it's about shooting, not spending.
Can't say all my gun purchases were sober. Hell, I bought an FNAR, I must have been drunk.
Seriously though, we are all becoming not our brothers keepers but our brothers nannies.
Glocks are not unattractive. They attract more shooters than any other auto!
I'm in the same boat as you. I found shooting Glocks more enjoyable and that I could shoot them much better.
I wouldn't hesitate to sell an HK to fund a Glock.
Or a new Glock.......My HK's are all long gone. HK USP .45 is gone and will be replaced with the 21SF I ordered last week.
I feel HKs are overpriced compared to Glocks or M&Ps and mags are half the price.
The most reliable autos in my mind are those of the top tier manufacturers like Glock and Sig that don't have a manual safety. Draw, aim, pull trigger, boom.
