It's hard to beat a .243 for a whitetail rifle for shooters of any stature. Makes a dandy varmint rifle also. The older I get the less I seem to need the added recoil.

My first carry was a 3913NL. I had always wanted one and really liked it. Very reliable, never had any issues with it. I've since gone to striker fired for trigger consistency. Good find, enjoy it.
