I have a 3953 which is DAO. Its thin, light, accurate and reliable. Its a my most frequent CCW gun.

In my experience velocity consistency is a more helpful gauge of accuracy for hand guns with their short ( relatively) stiff barrels than for rifles with their long more flexible barrels. Acuracy in rifles is much more about getting the bullet to exit at the same place in the barrel vibrations...

Taurus Tracker 22 revolver. Just a little cheaper but mine shoots great! The weight can be a problem because the 6.5" barrel with a full underlug gets pretty muzzle heavy especially compared to the ruger.

I've been able to find Kimber mags at good prices locally and they work fine in my 10mm pointman major.

The Beretta 89 gold standard is a good comparison to a short barrel Model 41. Course the beretta only has an eight shot magazine and they cost $40 each while magazines for the 41 are much easier to get and cost less.
