I'm a big fan of Gun Nuts Media and The Firearm Blog also Gear Scout and Kitup have some good stuff not always 100% gun related though

    Crime risk survey

I knew I could depend on THR. Thanks sfc_mark way to dig up a link (makes me doubt my interwebs ski11z as I've been looking for that for a long while) Anyone have any thoughts on the questions (I would love to get a pencil and paper version of this test, and see how heavily some of those...

    Crime risk survey

I want to start out with a big I'm sorry if this does not quite fit the S&T forum. This seemed like the place where I could get the best on topic response so mods (thanks for what you do by the way) if you find this to be here in error please move as you see fit. On to the topic at hand, I...

    AR vs. Masada? (read, please)

man sarcasm is freaking awesome.... It seems some people have made up their mind to like or hate the massada. I will openly admit I will not be #1 in line to buy the massada, but if I had the expendable income to take a gamble on what may be one of the most interesting firearms to appear...

    Idea for Oleg Volk?

It is important to be aware of what the symbols you use mean to the general public, but also to the subcultures represented. Showing a burning cross etc. may be visually compelling, but to a subgroup who see it as a symbol of oppression it could back fire associating your name, cause, etc...

    The Ethical Killing of Animals...

To 45Broomhandle. I read an interesting story that is somewhat the flipside of the story that you relayed. The story was in a bow hunting magazine and it was talking about the ethics of taking an animal you do not intend to eat. Apparently this author was enjoying the outdoors and...

    'Special bullets' killed Menezes

In regards to the "innocent man" statements. IIRC this was a situation directly after the tube bombings. The individual shot had a bag similar to those used by the terrorists. The man did not obey orders to drop the bag and show his hands. The man attempted to move away but also, again IIRC...

    Rubber Band Bump Firing

In some of his other videos, it looked like he was getting a lot of jams (I don't know much about bump firing so I don't know if that is normal or not). I do not know that it would be practical for anything but fun at the range (never know though, I guess it could just be bad ammo or a dirty...

    Ballistic Knifes

This is a greatly informative thread. A year or two back I was trying to find info on ballistic knives, and I couldn't find anything anywhere. All that I had known was that I saw adds for the knock offs in soldier of fortune 10 + years ago with vague references to Russian special forces...

    Die Hard 4 -- McClane's new gun

I'm going to throw this out there, I think it could be a sig in the beginning, but McClane switches guns halfway through and the second one could be a cz 75 compact, it also looks a little like it might be the berreta px4. It's hard to tell without the ability to stop and rewind

    check out walmart blazer brass

I was halfway out the isle with a hundred rounds of .45 and another hundred of 9mm in WWB before my brain connected that the blazer brass was 1/3 less expensive. So I picked up 150 each of the blazer for about the same price. Ammo worked well (I did not experience powder chunks after either).

Nosey, Over Zealous, and Blind "Good Samaritan"

Maybe I am just odd, but my first reaction to "don't load it until I'm gone" was she probably didn't want to write up a report on a negligent discharge (it happens to cops all the time so you never know). Sounds like a bad situation to have to be involved in, and the cop was obviously out of...

    Shooter and Marc Walberg...

I was afraid of the same thing, when I sat down to see the movie with my girlfriend and her family. After the movie was over all I could do is shake my head and grin. It is a great movie, and I intend to read as much Stephen Hunter as I can because of what I saw on screen. It is very logical...

David E. Petzal's Gun Nut Quiz

9/10 The paralax question got me. I did make an educated guess on the .220 swift question though.

    Cheap M14

what are the rules regarding chinese firearms (I'd look it up myself, but I don't even know where to start). I thought the 1887 and 1897 cayote cap shotguns were built in china and imported. What is the deal?
