Dang. Well, I kind of figured. Looking at the pics again, I noticed that the left side of the trigger group (both metal and plastic) has a set of notches that the switch appears to interface with whereas the right side does not, so that pretty much takes care of that. I know I've seen that...
Got a couple questions about two totally different rifles here...
A guy whose land I hunt on recently had me take a look at his Remington 12A (pump action .22 LR) because it hasn't been working right. I took the thing apart and found that the firing pin had snapped in half (it had apparently...
US Patent 1073908. I recommend installing Alternatiff, then clicking the "Images" button at the top of the page.
Oh, and here's the US Patent for the FAMAS. Same deal with the images.
I think if I were in your position, I'd try to find an Elcan Specter DR. About the same price as the TA31DOC and performs pretty much the same functions, but looks like a more solid optic, as far as the red dot is concerned. Don't have any experience with one, but maybe someone else here has. It...

I have this barrel on my rifle and it shoots very well for a 5.56mm chamber with a chromed bore, so long as the bullets stay under about 70 grains.
I'd go with an RRA lower with an A2 stock (actually, I did). I don't really see the point in having a retractable stock on a 20" rifle, but I guess...
Cartridges of the World, 9th Edition says the 7.92mm Kurz uses .323" bullets, same as the standard German rifle cartridge of the time, the 7.92x57mm JS.
Another option you might want to consider is a target sear from Volquartsen. It dropped my mother-in-law's 77/22 from about 5 pounds to about a pound and a half, and it's totally crisp. It's not adjustable but it works like a charm and it's really easy to install (pop the stock off and the bolt...
