Texas has passed and the govenor has signed the open carry. I know that it requires belt or shoulder holster. Early on I heard that it would require a retention holster. Does anyone know if that is a part of the final law?

Just got back from Dicks sporting goods. They had a sale where a basic Ruger 10/22 was $199 but then $25 off for the sale. $174 for a new Ruger. I couldn't pass it up.

I'll throw in my 2 cents in. For any small pistol Thunderware does work and is decently comfortable. You don't need a belt. Elastic waist pants are best.

I found some buffalo bore 380+ ammo. My Glock 42 works perfectly with that ammo. I retried the other brands and it still jammed. So I guess it needs powerful ammo
