    45ACP Open Top?

I don’t have an open top revolver, but I do shoot a Uberti Rem. NMA with a Howell .45ACP cylinder. Howell recommends lead bullets only (I shoot Hi-Tek coated 200gr. RNFP.), velocity under 850’/sec., and pressure 12,000 psi max. This precludes using standard .45ACP ammo.

    Loading .223 with WC-844 & 55 GR FMJ

I bought 8# of WC844, Lot #041120, a few months ago and tested it against H335. I found that the velocities that I achieved were approximately 100 fps lower for the WC844 as opposed to H335 with the same components. AR15, !8" 1:9 twist barrel, .223 Wylde chamber, LC casings, Winchester SR...

Good powder for loading 38 loads in 357 brass

I use 4.0gr. of Bullseye, in a .357 Magnum case, behind a plated 158gr. SWC for target shooting. It's extremely accurate and the recoil is very manageable.

How many shots before cooling the barrel?

I recall an Army publication, from back in the '70s, that stated that 12-15 rounds per minute was the maximum rate of fire at which the M-16 can be fired indefinitely without damage to the weapon or experiencing cook-offs.

    Is 28-gauge worth a look?

Having been a skeet shooter for decades, I found that I can break nearly as many birds with my 28ga. O/U as I can with with any of my 12ga. guns.. With only 3/4 oz. of shot, in the standard 28ga. shell, shots taken at any longer ranges would result in a very sparse pattern, and missed birds...

minimum amount of powder to cycle a AR in 556

I read somewhere that in order to cycle a typical AR15 you need a pressure of 12,500 psi. at the gas port. So, what ever charge of powder will get you that amount of pressure at the gas port will be the minimum. That said, some powders (I don't know if H335 is one of them.) can cause pressure...

    357 Mag light loads

158gr. X-Treme SWC loaded in .357 Mag. casings with 4.0gr. of Bullseye and any SP primers, are very accurate and light recoiling loads. I've been loading them like this for years for target shooting and general plinking. According to Alliant's reloading manual this is a heavy .38 Special +P...
