I keep Unique, Titegroup and Bullseye on hand but if there is another that works better I am all for keeping a little around. Just now getting into IDPA so whatever load combination I come up with will be my primary reloading effort for both pistols.
Hey guys - not sure if this should have went here or in competition shooting but since it deals with reloading here it is.
I am looking for a starting point (trying to save time, powder and primers) for both 9mm and 45 ACP loads that will make the PF in IDPA. Just seein if anyone has any...
Unless you are just stuck on the 140 gr bullets try the 130 gr. My favorite load is using a sierra 130 gr SPBT, CCI Large rifle magnum primer and 58.4 gr IMR 7828SSC. It gives me close to 3000 fps. Not quite as fast as you seem to want but the accuracy is great. I have taken quite a few...

Outside of Iraq and Afghanistan only once. Had a drunk guy pull a POS .25on me one night. He was pretty toasted and I was not, easily disarmed the guy, sad thing about it was that the security (bouncers) watched the guy and didnt bother to help out til I had the gun, LOL.
Big gun = heavy bullets = the less you can carry.
Small gun = light bullets = the more you can carry.
In a survival situation the weight you have to carry along with the stress, how much food you are able to find and how far you have to go to find civilization are probably more important...
