    H-S Precision vs. McMillan

I don't know where you are coming up with this info about MCM stocks not being pillar bedded, my A5 has pillars and while I haven't done a full bedding job on it yet I can shoot right around .5 MOA, 5 shot groups that is, with just a bipod from the prone. thats a savage action with a hart...

    Beretta CX4 40

I have one, I think its pretty cool, I kryloned it in tan. I've added a grip pod vertical grip and a surefire 120 lumen weapon light. I keep it under my bed. I've never had a malfunction with it, granted I've only put a few hundred rounds thru it. also the ability for you to switch sides...

    Reducing AR recoil

how are you standing when you shoot? I find that I get alot of muzzle flip regardless of the rifle in question when I shoot in a weaver style stance. However when I square myself more to the target, like a boxing stance, I have almost no muzzle flip at all, even with the M1. Its to the point...

How many of you have shot something more than a paper target at the range.

Humans do tend to be reactive targets. Never actually shot someone but I had to fire a warning shot once infront of some guy's car, I've never seen a car stop so fast in my life lol. I've shot plenty of stuff, comp monitors, cinder blocks, old cars, APCs, Russian tanks, some random factory...

    New army sniper rifle?

Actually I was just reading an article in Army Times how in addition to the M110 and converting some M24s to .300 winmag they are also looking at a larger caliber rifle for 1200 meters and out. From the article they were saying that the Barrett .50s are great but too heavy for anything but...

    Why a belt-fed squad automatic?

I've never had anything but trouble using the mag well on the SAW, I think if you lose that, go with the short barrel and collapsable stock and smooth some of the sharp edges it would be a much better weapon. Oh, the M145s (those scopes that are like 2.5 power or something) are crap, not...

    Why a belt-fed squad automatic?

The reason we had so much ammo and had to burn thru it the way we did is this. The ammo was asked for during the last fiscal year, which happened to start Oct. '06 back when the whole state was going thru a reorg. and those in the ammo ordering dept were used to dealing with infantry units...

    Why a belt-fed squad automatic?

I just got back from spending 4 days on the range up at Ft. Drum where we had about 80 people to go thru ammo intended for an entire batalion, 5.56mm, 9mm, 40mm, and 12 guage. I don't remember the specifics but it was on the order of over 70,000 rounds. we had numerous weapon failures...

    Hearing protection in the military?

When I was over in Iraq I never wore the combat plugs out on patrol, we did have the vic headsets so that helped somewhat. Now that I'm an NCO and like to think have some pull I'm going to annoy my leadership and try to get suppressors for everyone. at the range though I do always wear...

One bolt action rifle, one scope ~5k € what would you get?

I would go with one of those new Badger Ordnance actions in your choice of caliber, a nice match grade tube, bairtlenn (sp?), shilen, hart or one of the others. Badger base, rings, and bottom metal. McMillan or Manners stock, and then top it with a USO, S&B, nightforce or leupold scope. but...

What "reasonable restrictions" should we accept for full auto

ok, here are my reasonable restrictions for FA. 1) you must first put down your beer before shooting so you don't spill. 2) anytime someone utters the phrase "hey watch this" you must have a video recorder going for youtube. not really FA but 3) you must always insure that your sling...
