    .357 for Deer hunting

Thanks, all. Looks like the 158gr XTP is the ticket. I think I'll experiment with WIN296, and Lil Gun. Rhino

    What to look for

I'm in total agreement with Dave R. Spending a little money before you spend a lot of money will potentially save you a lot of headache/$$ later. Remington model 700 action is widely considered one of the best. Why not make sure you're getting what you're paying for? It's also the best way...

    .357 for Deer hunting

I shoot a Rossi with an 18" barrel. I'm looking for a full power magnum load for deer out to...say 75 yds (max!!). I have some load data that has a 160 gr FP at about 1880 FPS. I know many will tell me a .375 isn't enough for deer. I dissagree. I think 1) if you get the right bullet 2)put...

    Refinishing a Rifle Stock

    Recoil Pad for .300WM

Yeah, it's a Savage (synthetic stock). I might like to shoot a .460 someday. Maybe just once! :D Thanks for the info, fellas. Looks like my own research wasn't in vain. I guess I'll go with the Limbsaver.

    Recoil Pad for .300WM

Limbsaver is what I've been leaning toward. I just wanted to get as many opinions as possible. Just want to have my ducks in a row 'fore I go spending more money:D

    Recoil Pad for .300WM

I shoot a .300 Win Mag (which we all know kicks like a mule). I'm looking for a good recoil pad to take some of the thump out of ole "Elvira". I've heard SVL has some of the best. Is this true, or is there something better out there?

    Source for Plated Bullets

I don't know what my opinion might be good for, but I use Berry's preferred in .45, .357, and .40 cal without any problems after about a year and 2000 rounds (hey, I was deployed for 6 months!). I like that they're cheap, fairly accurate, and don't cause any leading. You can't load them to...
