    642 Club Part Deux

Walked in to the FFL for a PPT and saw a 442 in the case. Belonged to the FFL - looks near new, pre-lock, been waiting to run across a decent deal on a 642/442 and that was my day. 6 more days until I can pick it up...

The brushes are the same. They do make a shorter brush for tiny chambers like airguns, where access is an issue.

    Spyderco Military

Nothing will carry quite like the military due to the slim design and light weight. But as posted above, the benchmade skirmish is rock solid at that size and price. The griptilians are great, but are much wider, which I find less comfortable to IWB carry.

Soon to be gun owner seeking advice

Would you buy a car if you didn't know how to drive? As said above, get training, and then get some experience. You will be safer and probably happier with your purchase.

    Mossberg options

Mossberg has a new "Super Bantam" stock with 2 sizes. I've been meaning to buy a shorter stock for a while and was leaning towards the Hogue overmold, but I think I am going to give the SuperBantam a try.

My belt just isn't cutting it. Help!

The Wilderness now has a belt in 1.5 inch that has two plastic rings instead of the metal buckle, a larger version of their "frequent flyer". Lighter to wear and doesnt' scream tactical.

    Master of the Bushmaster....

Gas rings should have the gaps offset on the bolt, not aligned. Do the test to see if the lubed bolt slides out of the carrier under the power of gravity. If it does, he needs new gas rings.

Bowling For Columbine is being run & re-run on Bravo now; watched for 1st time

"I luvs my guns....luvs my guns" There are a lot of little interesting bits in the film about fear, perception, & media. The movie presents them and embodies them at the same time.

Glock 20/21 grip size....does it fit anyone?

I like the fat 21 in my hand. My hands might be on the larger side for someone who is only 5' 10", but I don't have huge paws. When I bought my first pistol I chose one that I could get a better grip on because the grip was smaller and I felt that it was more secure in my hand. The more I...
