    Frog - I had both Varget and w748 on the shelf and wanted to limit how many different powders I kept on hand for rifle loads. I use Varget exclusively for my .308 R25 (42.2g varget w/168g SMK) and w748 for my .223 AR-15 Varmint rifle(25.5g w748 w/69g SMK).

    Hunting bullet for 308 Win

    I use 165g SGK and 165g Interlock. Either will get the job done. Both hit hard and will easily bring down a deer. Bagged 6 buck so far this year. 4 using Interlock and two using SGK.
