I saw a brass replica dragoon a navy vet friend of mine made long ago in a ship's machine shop. He had a real one at home.

In basic with M14 we regularly hit torso targets at 500. Never saw the groups, but each shot knocked him down. Not everybody could hit it every time, but itwas not hard for most. This was from prone, sitting, or squatting. No steenkeeng benchrests.

All those cowboys had hi cap sixguns. The good guys had special bullets that only knocked guns out of bad guys' hands. Also they never hit a horse.

You did the appropriate thing. Stopped it before somebody got hurt. I'd sure try and talk to them about a solution. Can't believe some of the lynch mob responses.
