    Felons in Kentucky

I can see this both ways. First, yes a felon is prohibited from possessing, just to answer the question. Second, for 192 years it was not that way. Remember a LEO of the 1800's, some guy named Wyatt Earp, seems he was a felon in Arkansas, but later one of the most famous, and effective lawmen in...

    Right handed, Left eye dominant

The eye dominance thing is overrated IMHO. Shooting handguns it is not much of a problem if you shoot with both eyes open, a minor adjustment. Shooting rifles it is only a problem with iron sights. Scoped firearms generally involve the closing of one eye, and if that is the left and it is...

Fire Mission: Kroger Grocery, anti gun AND racist

Just addressing the "racist" aspect of this. All "gun control" has it's roots in racism. "Gun control," is really "people control." The CCW laws in California were passed in the 1800's with the intent of keeping firearms out of the hands of "chinese", this at a time when "chinese" could not...

A request, for an email mission. Geraldo Rivera slanders gun owner

Just saw this thread, here is my e-mail, I expect a canned response: Fox News has been my preferred source for news for years, because I feel you have a better balance than the other news sources. I am however appalled at your continued inclusion of Geraldo Rivera as anything but comic...

    Felons and gun ownership

Consider: Many lawmen of the old west played both sides of the law during their lifetimes. Many of them, Wyatt Earp, John Wesley Hardin, Tom Horn, as examples, would be precluded from possessing the firearms they used to perform their legendary deeds. The prohibition of felons by edict seems...

California does it again: passed the ammo bill.

This passed in the Senate, it still has to pass the Assembly, and be signed. Even NRA was blindsided on this, their alert came out today. Sneaky deceitful, slimy demoncratic scum... oh my, there I go being redundant.

    Nosler velocity for bear?

I know reloading your own is fun, but if you are paying for going on a guided hunt I would buy a box of Federal Premiums with the Barnes Triple shock X-bullet. I have used these on deer for the past two years, 80 yds., and 250 yds. and they are the next best thing to a death ray I have seen.

    Oooh I think we're winning!

Make no mistake, this organization is a bad thing. At best it is an attempt to drain funds from NRA, (there is only so much money to be sent), and at worst it is a sneaky underhanded method to fool people. I noted on their site that they quote the thoroughly discredited "Kellerman" study,(a...

    Three pitbulls - 6 rounds of .357 or .15 of 9mm?

Why not go with 15 .40 S&W. We had a shooting recently, large Rott vs. 165 gr. Win. SXT, one shot, one stop. BTW the shooter is very good, and that helped. Both the .357, and 9mm shoot the same size bullet, the only difference is capacity, more is better, "You can't be too rich, too thin, or...

My girlfriends mom took her stun gun away!

Well, first, is it a "stun gun" or a "Taser?" The two are entirely different items. Since you also said 300,000 volts, I will assume it is a stun gun. These things are nearly as dangerous to the user as to the bad guy. For one thing you need to close with your opponent, and reach out and touch...

    End muzzleloading seasons?

Huntin' is huntin'. more seasons the better. I have an in-line, and a caplock, never hunted with them yet (though retiring this July and might now) but I have them, Just so I can. Try something new instead of bemoaning something you don't do, just MHO.

Is there a difference between hiking boots and hunting boots?

Vasque, and Asolo are good hiking boots, but for hunting you need more support. I have found that Rocky makes some of the best, and most consistant boots around. Chippewas and Danners are good too, though more pricey.
