Thanks Artee and Archangel. That's some good info. I probably wont use that powder for that and I will just save those Hotcores for another time. Any recommendations for good cast .375 bullets?
Howdy all,
I have been doing some research for loads for my 375 Ruger. I have been trying to find some data for low recoil or practice rounds that I can shoot. The only real low recoil data I have found is for cast loads using powders like Reloader 7. I don't have a mold for my .375 yet but I...
There are health concerns but if your in well ventilated area you got nothing to worry about. You will worry yourself sick if you let it bug you. Get the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook. It address all of that and will give you some good ideas. It has a lot of good loads in it too. Cast bullets...
I cant weight them with certainty because of the variation in some of the bullets since they are cast. I think what Steve said is probably true. I load on a single stage and I probably would have noticed if I had double charged another one. Thanks for all the help!
I was loading up some .45 ACP with cast bullets today. I was using 5.5gr of Unique under a 230gr bullet. I always double and triple check everything before I seat the bullet. Well on my triple check I noticed a case that I had double charged . So I poured it out and recharged it with the...
My 1987 marlin 336 is have trouble feeding. The rounds aren't coming out of the mag tube and the carrier is not lifting high enough to chamber the rounds. I took the gun completely apart and couldn't find anything broken. I was at the range when it happened so it could be that something fell...
I cant seem to find recoil springs for my Springfield 45 xd 4 inch service. Everyone sells them for the 9mm, 40 s&w, 357 sig, and 5 inch 45 but I cant find any for the 4 inch. I checked Midway, Brownells, and Wolff but nobody carried that one. If someone could point me in the right direction I...
Howdy all!
I have been reloading for my 375 H&H with full length size dies for a couple of years now. I haven't had any problems but I have been reading about belted mags and case head separation. I am surprised I haven't had that happen to me yet. I'm under the impression that all you have to...
Thanks guys I understand now. Im loading up brass for my 375 h&h and they have been full length resized twice now so I guess I should adjust what Im doing.
Howdy all!
I have a question about headspacing. It will probably sound stupid to yall but please bear with me :banghead: :) I was reading through one of my load manuals and found this written several times when talking about belted magnums. "We recommend that you set your loading dies so that...
