Savage Axis .308 Camo Paint Job

I took my Axis apart today and taped off the necessary spots and painted it with Krylon's camo paint set. Before I did the stock I sanded it with some 200 grit paper. Tomorrow I'm gonna spray a flat clear finish on it that shouldn't affect the way it looks but hopefully will lengthen the...

    Savage Axis .308 "Trigger Job"

That was my inspiration. I figured I'd try cutting the spring first and if it doesn't work out I'll get a new spring and do what that guy did. If it still isn't feeling right I'm gonna go the riflebasix route.

    Savage Axis .308 "Trigger Job"

It's back in the gun. Trigger break feels great now but I won't get to back to the range for a week or so.

    Savage Axis .308 "Trigger Job"

I picked this thing up used for a reasonable price a few days ago. I put 30 rounds through it the day I got it. 20 were Winchester 180 grains and 10 were Federal Fusion 165 grains. It shot well but the trigger was really heavy and I wasn't grouping my shots well at all. I looked around on...

    10mm questions?

I love my G20...I take it with me every time I'm in the woods as a backup to my rifle/shotgun. Had to lay a wild dog out with it on the run at 10 yds from a jeep window at the beginning of deer season and i was surprised by the crushing power of the hot hornady loads i was shooting. Can't go...

Question about Mil. ID as CCW in Ga.

In Georgia a military ID works as a CCW. Does this mean that in states that have reciprocal CCW laws with Georgia a Military ID along with proof of GA residency works as a CCW? For example, if you were active duty military stationed in GA and flew to Texas having checked a handgun, would it...

    Sig p232 as CCW. Experience/opinions?

the cheetah isnt that much bigger...in fact, id say the difference between the two size wise is negligible. the beretta is also a great shooting gun. the prices of the two should be similar....beretta might be slightly cheaper. check out the p230 as well.....same gun really, minor differences.

    Sig p232 as CCW. Experience/opinions?

just like USP9 says....one of the most, if not THE most, naturally pointing pistols out there. My idea of a perfect gun. One drawback might be round capacity but....everyone has their own opinion on that.

Astra Model 200 Firecat .25 ACP

hey test drive....how is it hammer fired? I thought it had to be striker fired becasue when i take the slide off I can't see anywhere for a hammer to be. I know the Jr. is hammer fired but I thought these were striker fired. also, does not having the original mag detract from the value?

    1900 Mauser M/96

What makes the 96 such a better shooter than the 98? I know it feels better to shoot and the ammo is somewhat cheaper but I figured if the Germans adopted the 98 during WWII it must have had it's advantages.

    1900 Mauser M/96

My RATE is CT*. In the army I would be 35*. I'll have to check out the disc on the stock when I see the rifle next. Like I said, it's stored off base until I move so I don't have easy access. I may go take pictures this evening.....Army bases are rough...there's very little water...

    1900 Mauser M/96

This is def a shooter...some of the numbers match but not all. The bore is nice and clean and the stock is in pretty good shape. I really wanna put a long eye relief scope on it. I found some information here http://dutchman.rebooty.com/ but he seems to be pretty backed up. anyone know...

    1900 Mauser M/96

It was made in Oberndorf and i'll try to get better pictures up sometime this week. I'm navy and stationed on an army base right now and for the next two or three weeks I'm living on base and can't have firearms! The picture I posted was taken with an Iphone3G but I'll use my DSLR later in the...
