    SIG M17 Jamomatic!

I have a P320C and I like it but I'm getting tired of the new revelations about how Sig knew about these problems and did nothing. Oh, sure, they fixed the military trigger stop the drop-safe problems but commercial units....meh. I am a little surprised about some of the malfunctions...

    Glock 20 Thoughts?

I really like mine. It is definitely powerful when using hot handloads or Underwood (or similar hot factory ammo). I have had handloads pushing ~900ft-lbs at the muzzle - confirmed by Chronograph (this was with a 6-5/8" aftermarket barrel). For defensive purposes, I think that the factory ammo...

Who makes the best 10mm, model 1911?

What brand of holster is that? Also, I'll put in another vote for Glock. I have a Glock 20SF with a Lone Wolf Longslide and 6-5/8" threaded barrel. I get good velocity with book-loads and it is very accurate. Lots of good options for sights, accessories etc. Price for the base gun is good too.

    Glock 20SF Longslide

To answer your question, no I did not use factory slide parts. I bought the Lone Wolf slide competion Kit. It cost about a hundred bucks and has all the little picky bits needed to make a complete slide. Its kind of expensive for the silly little packet of parts you get, but it is probably...

    Glock 20SF Longslide

The weather finally cooperated and I got out to the range. I brought three handloads with me to test out Hornady 155gr XTPs over 800X Hornady 200gr XTPs over AA#9 Magtech 180gr FMJ over Alliant 2400 I have never used 800X before because the flakes are so coarse that you need to hand...

    Glock 20SF Longslide

The BH Serpa I have fits it fine. The barrel does hang down out of the holster, but that is to be expected. Plus, I have been toying with the idea of buying a DIY Kydex Holster kit. Those look relatively easy to put together...

    Glock 20SF Longslide

Hello beautiful. I got the goodies this week. Still waiting on the LWD recoil spring and guide rod. This is a LWD long slide, 6.63 in threaded barrel on a g20sf. I will try to follow up with a range report in a week or two if the weather cooperates.

    Picking a 7mm-08

Those are all pretty good choices. If money was no object, I would vote for the Winchester. The Remington would be my #2 with the Savage guns after that. I had a Savage 110 (30-06) and it while it was one of the least refined guns I have owned, it was Very accurate. I'm not trying to add to...

Capacity VS Caliber - Home Defense

Some folks will say that placement trumps power and magazine capacity. To that I say Yes and Not Really. True, Placement trumps power every time, but capacity gives you more chances to get the placement right. Personally, I want BOTH power and Capacity. I run a standard 15+1 in my G20. I...

    ultimate fighting semi.auto.pistol

Glock 20 with the following extras: - extended base mag (19rd capacity) - Tactical length slide and barrel (5.15 in) - Trijicon RMR mounted in a Lone Wolf "combat cut" with tritium suppressor height sights. - Streamlight TLR2 Light/laser combo. This gives you nearly the power of a 41Mag...

    Home defense with a 1911

I dont use a 1911, but I dont see any particular problem with using one. It was good enough for the US Army for many years. It sure beats having no gun. Personally, I think which particular gun you keep for HD is less important than the fact that you Do keep a gun for HD and have within reach...

    M&P 9mm mags

I bought an M&P9 in January because I saw a good price. But after owning it for a little while and not being able to find spare mags for anything close to reasonable I gave up and traded it for a Ruger SR9. I like the SR9 just as much (well, the grip on the M&P9 is a little better) and Ruger...

    Ruger P-89 accuracy work

To the OP. I don't know of any gunsmiths that work on P-Guns, but I do know that if you want to lighten the trigger its super easy and costs next-to-nothing. You just need a new hammer spring. The weight of the trigger will definitely be reduced. Just make sure that you still have enough...
