A question for high volume handloaders.

Just my thoughts.... I would think with a brand-name die, clean and properly lubricated cases, one could use the same die for a lifetime. Others may have a differing opinion. David

    Decapping dirty brass

I've done it both ways, the universal decapping die works well for this. Sometimes the range brass is so dirty I I take an old tumble type media separator and fill it with water, a little dawn let is soak while tumbling it by hand once in a while, rinse and let dry before processing. Like...

    Difference in load data.

The Hornady bullet I'm using (should have mentioned in the OP) is the #2267. Westerns listing for HDY 55 Gr BT-FMJ is somewhat generic I assume????

    Diagnostic help please. De-capping issue.

***UPDATE*** As suggested, I removed the pin, eased the edges and polished it. Re-adjusted the depth so that it's just enough to pop the primer out. I only had time to run 50 rounds this morning but I had no issues with those 50. I'm going to say problem solved until it shows me otherwise...

    Diagnostic help please. De-capping issue.

I hope I can make this understandable. Long time issue with 9mm. 1 in 10-15 cases will not decap. Meaning the primer will not push completely free of the case and drop away. So it prevents shell plate from rotating on my LnL AP because the primer is only partially out and is binding the ram...

Hornady LnL AP 9mm PTX sticking

Ghost, I get it, very frustrating for sure. I can only tell you about my experience with this years ago and what fixed mine. I've loaded some 30k 9mm since with no issue. 1. I was flaring the cases too much (increased surface contact expander to case) so I adjusted the amount of "flare" just...
