I've had several K22s over the years and I prefer 4" barrels. The two I currently own are both 5 screws made in the early 1950s and are both great shooters. I would recommend you save up and watch for a nice K22 - you'll never regret replacing your Ruger with a Smith. The one on the bottom...

Nevada is a give him the money and take the firearm state. In Clark County only until last year buyers were supposed to take handguns to Metro (police) to register. That went away (thankfully!) If you're wanting a paperwork trail of some kind, it's highly unlikely there is any.

Mine's a mix. Presses: Dillon550 Lee Classic Turret RCBS RCII and a little Lee C press Everything else is whatever I bought when I needed it; just about every available brand name is somewhere in my reloading room.

K22s are great revolvers. I've got a couple and they get frequent attention at the range. You're going to enjoy shooting it.

If gun training is a good idea let's start with Eddie Eagle in all elementary schools. Project Appleseed in all junior high schools would be a good way to continue that training. Promoting JROTC in high school might also be good for the country.

Definitely head right back and buy it. I have 2 and if I'd seen one for that price I'd have 3! Great pistol and fun to shoot.

My 995 eats about any ammo, factory or handload, I have ever fed it. A double-stack magazine would be a good change. I wouldn't expect it though -- seems they can sell every one they make of the current model.

Sweet. It would be a shame to not shoot that. They are a lot of fun and an easy way to score cheap .25 is to look for partial boxes at gun shows or pawn shops. Go shoot it and think of your dad.
