I have a RIA 1911-A1. On another board there was a guy who insisted the heat treat on all RIAs was so soft they were dangerous and that no reputable custom smith would work on them. He kept at it in spite of any facts. My RIA became known as "softer-than-chocolate-on-a-hot-day" then was...
Yes and no. I absolutely hate it when a gun does not function properly out of the box. Makes madder than.... well, you get the idea.
But seeing as how most manufactures today produce firearms with triggers that are much less than satisfactory I understand it will need some help. I enjoy fine...
I spent $500 for a new RIA 1911 A1 in May. A couple of hours of work tuning the trigger and it has every bit the feel and function of my buddies $2,500 Wilson. I have nothing but tune and polish the factory parts. It has worked flawlessly through the first 1200 rounds. I like it a lot.
I started reloading around 1964 with a Lee handloader. Today there is a Dillon and two rockchuckers on my bench along with a home made arbor press and hand dies I made. . Aside from 22 rimfire I do not believe I have bought a box of loaded ammunition since somewhere around 1974.

If you ever get stopped again try this line, “Good evening officer, I have a CCL and I am carrying. How would you like me to proceed?” This is stated with your hands in plain site, something like the 10-2 position on the steering wheel.
The officer will know you have a CCL sooner or later...
OK. I admit I am too stupid to understand anything about concealed carry and the issues that surround it.
I make a sincere apology to Berek for my post and my stupidity. The only reason I posted in reply to is post was my own lack of moral fiber. This will be my last post. I will never...
Berek
Let’s start over. I read the whole post, three times. I also read your last two posts. All of them. I will skip the bashing and name thing and forgive and forget.
OK Now I am starting to see your problem with carrying. If I have it right, you do not like the fact that some states...
