Had a small scare the other day whilst reloading that might be a helpful reminder to people to keep safe and follow your procedures not being sloppy. Primer popped when being seated and flashed over into try causing other primers to detonate.
This happened using a Hornady Hand Primer...

I quite fancy putting a tang sight on my lever action 1892 clone (Chiappa in this case.

Burrhead, I think you have a point. Just a little concerned about the metal in the fore-end cap. Doesn't look particularly thick to me.
Wondering about a Clamp mount on the hanger for the magazine tube as that looks to be farely solid.
Or, if I can find the answer from Taylor's, whether you...
I find with IR I tend to leave them on a pretty low brightness setting as especially with a Duplex / Number 4 reticle during daylight you are fine for shooting and also no risk of flaring.
Then as the light drops and you put onto a dark deer in shadow, the little red dot conveniently shows up...
