.22 supply is still scarce here in Oregon. However, I refuse to pay more than $30 a brick. A couple of months back I did get lucky and happened to get some Rem. Thunderbolts for $1.99 at the local Bi Mart. They were gone quickly.
I vote 338-06. It's just a little bit more efficient. I'm lucky. I just drive into town and go to the Nosler factory store and can get 338-06 or 35 Whelen. Last time I went in, I found boxes of 338-06 ammo on sale for $35.00 a box. That's less than a box of unloaded brass!
I would recommend the CZ P-01. It's a NATO approved compact 75, that feels great in the hand. You would be impressed with the reliability tests it had to go through and still fire accurately.
Ok, I have a question for you all. If you only had a choice to carry a .38 special or a 380 auto, which would you choose and why? I know bigger is better but that's not the question.
Thanks
Hi All,
Not that much .22 long rifle is available but Winchester just issued a recall on their M-22 rimfire ammo with lot number GD42L and GD52L
Winchester has determined the above lots of .22 rimfire may contain double powder charges. This double charge condition can cause the shooter...
In the Bend/Redmond area in Oregon primers are now back in stock but prices fluctuate greatly from business to business from $30.00 to $50.00 per 1000. Powder is still in short supply. Bullets are still trickling in.
I actually like the MK III better. It has a magazine release button on the side in front of the grip like a modern semi auto. The MK II has the old magazine release like the old Walther P-38 on the bottom of the grip. No fast reloads that way. lol
All the MK series guns are all good shooters.
I would recommend a PPK or a PPK clone that can be had very cheap right now from the old communist block countries as surplus. I think they can be had for about $200.00 to $300.00. Heck for that price I went and ordered one and a new reduced power spring kit from Wolfe springs. When it arrived I...
I have a model 85 ultra light that I purchased for C.C. I was lucky because the store owner had just gotten a shipment of them in. I asked if I could handle and dry fire every single one of them. He said yes, and it took a while but I was able to pick the one with the smoothest, lightest, double...
I live in Central Oregon and 30-30 has been scarce for a long time. It is just now finally starting to trickle in to some Bi Marts and Walmarts here. Which is another good reason to be able to handload your own stuff.
