Browning X Bolt Eclipse Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor

Now having picked up my X-bolt Eclipse 6.5 CM same as in the pic posted by Dawg, this trigger is definitely lighter than my 243 Xbolt (7 years old). Nice! It's as good as any trigger I've monitored in my recent shopping quest. Now, one not so great surprise about the Eclipse is that my...

Browning X Bolt Eclipse Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor

Gtscotty- I feel exactly the same about the X-bolt trigger on my 243 Hunter...heavier than I'd like but it doesn't seem to limit my accuracy with it...at least I don't think so anyway. I don't think any elk are going to get away from THAT '06!

Browning X Bolt Eclipse Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor

Good choice Dawg! Thanks for the accuracy report. After a couple of months of mulling over all of the options on a 6.5 CM, bouncing between the Tikka T3 CTR, X-bolt Mossy Varmint Staker, both heavier barrels and overall weight and both of which I'd probably have to put a McMillan or some other...

Not again.......! Feral Hog Control in East Texas

Nice shootin' and thanks for the info on the SST Stony. I load 130gr SSTs and TTSXs for my 270 BAR. I have not shot a hog with the SSTs but the TTSXs really drill them at a couple hundred yards and don't damage much meat. A quarter size exit hole no matter if it hits them in the shoulder or...

    Now its armor piercing rounds

"With him having a vest, I bet they go after those also." Californian Democrats have already started on that a few years ago. I don't think any of their measures were signed into law yet though. Expect it to pass in today's hysterical environment. If H gets in, it will be nation wide.

    Now its armor piercing rounds

California is mandating a "get the led out" for hunting. Now in specific zones, statewide by 2019. Target shooting anything is okay so far, though they did try to ban the gree tip stuff. Part of California's ban on hunting with ammo containing lead (meaning you must transition to TSX, GMX...

Browning X Bolts must be crap according to article

NOT! Oh yea, "crap".... 5 years later... My Xbolt in 243 will shoot 1" groups all day at 300 yards with 85gr SGKs, 85gr TSX, and 100gr Interlocks. High Sierras, rarely any windless days spring through fall. Best group is 3 of 5 rounds in 1 slightly enlarged hole, and 2 rounds .25" away. I...
