Dry Firing - Yes, No, Maybe So? - The Definitive Answer...

I'd always check the manual to be sure. Some like the CZ 52 mentioned above, and other CZ-75-based designs have issues with large numbers of dryfires. Most designs can be dryfired in small quantity for function checks or disassembly.

Glock 19 EDC / CC Questions

The 19 conceals well and is quite comfortable to carry with a good holster (Raven Concealment, Comp-tac, Bladetech to name a few). Even IWB isn't a problem (and you should note that the 17/19/26 all have the same thickness when it comes to IWB). I've found it to be a good balance in that I can...

    G20 Woods carry sights?

I'd say that whatever you get, it should be durable for the woods. To me, this would rule out fiber-optic sights, which I've heard about the insert falling out or breaking. As far as the big dot size is concerned, how far a shot do you think you might need to take? And how much time to make...

I'm confused: 10mm woods carry question

Doulbetap hardcast lead WFNGC ok in Glock barrels To get back to the original poster's question of the DoubleTap hardcase lead through the stock Glock 20 polygonal-rifling barrel, I emailed DoubleTap last year with the same question and here is the reply I got: Further reading seems to...

    Value Holsters

SHusky57, though you mentioned that the holster would be for competition, and retention doesn't really play a role there, you did mention stresses. I'm not sure of the brand of paddle holster in this video, but it does show how easily some plastics snap...

Might be worth contacting member JE223, who seems to be associated with http://www.brassfetcher.com/FAQ.html for information. A search on threads started by JE223 will yield a lot of results in gelatin.

Congress To Vote On DC Gun Ban Repeal

According to thomas.loc.gov, the bill has been: which with the "Speaker" being Nancy Pelosi, means it may be buried there without significant support. I've written my representative. Maybe we should start a thread in activism?

3 position decocker/safeties not as cool as I thought?

Scott_S84, welcome to THR! (though it looks like you've been lurking for a while, that's fine too - I started the same way). At first, I also liked the idea, having seen it on the Taurus PT92. However, I found that un-safing quickly (as if under stress), I might end up holding the decocker...

    De-escalation mad libs

after reading an entertaining (and educational) post by herohog in another thread: http://thehighroad.org/showpost.php?p=4831803&postcount=17 I realized that de-escalation isn't considered as frequently as armed responses (though there is a good thread here...
