Yep, love my XDs. I have a XD-9 and a XD-40 Tactical. Both have worked flawlessly since new. I really hope they get a XD-45 out and that it works as well as the others.

Thanks for the advice guys. I knew brass cartridges were good for many years (decades) but I wasn't sure about shotshells. I guess I have a lot practice ammo to use up. Yah Hoo!

I just bought a Remington 1100 Competition Master for 3-Gun and I have a bunch of old shells I would like to use for practice. The shells range from bird shot up to slugs and are at least 11 years old. Are these shells to old to use safely?

Thanks dfariswheel, Followed your directions and had no problems. I have small hands so I prefer my mag. releases on the right side if possible.

I have a new EAA Witness .45acp and I have heard that the mag release can be reversed so it is on the right side. Is this true and if so how do you get the mag release out?

The reason I'm asking is I once owned a CZ97 but it was just to big for my hand and last night I got to handle a Witness and it seemed to fit my hand much better than the CZ. Does the Witness have a smaller(different) frame than the CZ97?

Check each gun to see what fits your hand the best. That includes shooting them to see if you can reach all the controls. That said, I chose the XDs, one XD-9 and one XD-40. Great guns.

How can the State(Government) do that? The State can do what ever is legal. Whats legal? Whatever the law says. Who makes the laws? The State. See the problem here?
