    STI Sporting Rifle

The discussion is still going on and we have seen some concept law articles that make your blood freeze. But they are concepts and from the opposing parties. I figured I would take the risk and buy one. Basically there are 3 possible options. Or maybe 4. 1. They will mark the semi's as...

    STI Sporting Rifle

A little review for the ones interested: I bought this STI sporting rifle about one month ago. Overall it is a well machined rifle with some interesting specs. As a side note: over here, we have the comp welded on and the caliber set to .223 due to US export regulations. It also comes with a...

Looking for starting load .23 63Gr FMJBT N133

Thanks for the interpolation. I will post the results of the chronotest here. (under the usual disclaimer that these are my results and one should verify their on loads and i do not take responsibility for using my tested loads). I do not have the accurate numbers at hand at this moment (left...

Looking for starting load .23 63Gr FMJBT N133

Hi reload guru's I am looking for a starting load or load range using VV N133 powder behind a 62 Grain FMJBT bullet in a 1/8 twist 16" .223 Semi (and preferably making the IPSC minor PF for rifles as well ;-) ) I could not find this in the VV/Lapua load data and searching the web did not...

    questions for you reloading vets

Depending a bit on the powder used, but for me VV N133 (for .223) and N320 (for 9mm) do throw within 0.1 grain consistently. (I do measure every 10 rifle charges and every 50 pistol charges. but I spend a lot of time in verification as I found it irresponsible to myself to follow internet...

    questions for you reloading vets

I have to agree that when you are developing loads, a SS turret press is actually more convenient as adjusting a progressive press is taking more time if you want to do this every 5-10 rounds or so. As for accuracy and consistency, I have never noticed deteriorated accuracy or powder charges...

Dutch justice minister to ban semi-automatic rifles

GEM.. that is an excellent publishing. Specially in the light that in the Netherlands another politician actually sees sport shooters and legal gun permit holders(and ex permit holders) as an exceptional risk and liability. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.!! :)

    STI Sporting Rifle

And so, I got out and bought myself one. And found out this weekend that our "Justice" minister is going to ban them. Not sure how this will play out. :-( (background here: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=614236 )

Dutch justice minister to ban semi-automatic rifles

Actually, In the Netherlands we used to have some sort of gun right, but this is what happened. For our US friends, hold on to your shoes, as this IS exactly why you have the right to own a gun in your constitution... Please defend and cherish that. Now the story: Until 1896, there was hardly...

    STI Sporting Rifle

Thanks for that MWR. The article you have linked to is indeed the only review I could find on the net. And 1200USD? Man, I am born in the wrong country. :scrutiny:

    STI Sporting Rifle

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has some experience with the STI Sporting Rifle. I am looking to get into a rifle for IPSC Rifle (duh :D) and this one is actually looking quite good. Average retail is about 2100 USD. Bare in mind that over here, buying an AR type rifle is far from cheap. Also...
