Bushnell Banner Scopes Holding Zero Question

I'm new to long range marksmanship. Nothing past 300 yards. My late grandfather was a gun maker and my late father had his "blackbelt" (lol)in NRA Camp Perry Hi Power. So it IS in my blood. Just not sure how far I want to take this. I am a reloader. 190gr SMK's and IMR4895 looks like a good...

Bushnell Banner Scopes Holding Zero Question

I just bought a Weatherby Vanguard 300 Win Mag. I'm curious if that line of scopes have any problems with holding zero.

    Just bought a Weatherby Vanguard

I have a Bushnell Banner 6 x 24 or a 5 x 20 Nikon Monarch. Curious to whether they can hold zero from the recoil.

    Just bought a Weatherby Vanguard

Found this at Bud's for $500.00. I decided on the 300 Winmag. 26" barrel. They have all the Weatherby calibers from .240 to .300. Including the new 6.5 -300. The .375 was a little more at around $600.00.

At what distance were Carl Gustaf's Model 1896 rifles sighted in at?

Check to see if the front sight is worn down. A friend of mine had a Mosin that shot maybe 3 feet high at 100 yards.

Anyone have any feedback on Weatherby Vanguard S2?

    Looking at a .375 H&H for $600.

    6.5 Creedmore vs 6.5 Swede

Thanks for the kudos. I always thought mannlicher and 6.5x55 were a perfect match. Note the Springfield mod on the bolt.

    6.5 Creedmore vs 6.5 Swede

I have enjoyed this rifle for better part of my life. My grandfather sporterized it back in the 30's. I want to leave it to my nephew while the barrel is still in good shape. I have dies, hundreds of cases, and 3 generations of reloading recipes. I'd like to replace it for myself with another...

    6.5 Creedmore vs 6.5 Swede

I don't that much about the Creedmore, but I've shot a Swede for the past 40 years. I know the Swede's potential is not realized due to the older mauser actions. Would a modern action with optimized reloads be comparable?

Sauer 100: Looking for first hand experience.

It is chambered for the 6.5x55 Swede as well. I'm giving that serious consideration.

Looking for the Best Scope for a High Wall Win. Your thoughts?.......

My late great grandfather re-barreled what I believe is an old High Wall action, with a homemade bull barrel, chambered in .22 Hornet. (The barrel was a Ford axle in a previous life). He added a handmade copy of a 1 piece Redfield (I think) scope mount. Topped it with a Weaver J4 scope. The...
