My Weatherby Vanguard finally came in and I need to dial in pet loads. The only rifle powder I have is IMR4895 (for 6.5 swede through 30-06) and Varget (for .223 Bushmaster Predator.) Ample supply of .308 150 gr M2 pulls, 168gr. SMK, 180gr ProHunter, 190 gr SMK, 165gr GamePro, and
some Nosler...
I'm new to long range marksmanship. Nothing past 300 yards. My late grandfather was a gun maker and my late father had his "blackbelt" (lol)in NRA Camp Perry Hi Power. So it IS in my blood. Just not sure how far I want to take this. I am a reloader. 190gr SMK's and IMR4895 looks like a good...
Found this at Bud's for $500.00. I decided on the 300 Winmag. 26" barrel. They have all the Weatherby calibers from .240 to .300. Including the new 6.5 -300. The .375 was a little more at around $600.00.

My late great grandfather re-barreled what I believe is an old High Wall action, with a homemade
bull barrel, chambered in .22 Hornet. (The barrel was a Ford axle in a previous life). He added a handmade copy of a 1 piece Redfield (I think) scope mount. Topped it with a Weaver J4 scope.
