    HD Shotgun vs AR

I'm just a gauge guy. In almost any situation, I would prefer a shotgun to an AR (or any other rifle variant). Quick grab is always to the handgun. That is the exploratory weapon, and the means to fight back to the gauge.

    Youngsters With Guns

I've never liked 'public' ranges. Adults are often just as bad as kids, as is indicated by your scenario. The kids didnt know better, the adults should have shut down any over enthusiasm by the kids. I taught my kids to shoot one on one. Always emphasizing muzzle discipline. Over and...

    Mossberg 20ga 505

Update.... Took her to shoot the 505. She could definitely use a longer stock, but can manipulate well enough. It may just have to do. I can shoot it easier off the hip at 'inside a room' distances than I can trying to shoulder it...... Thanks for the input.

    Mossberg 20ga 505

I don't condone the use of pistol grips under any circumstances for any shooter. Your mileage may vary, but i'll stack up against any pistol grip shooter, any day. Been there....done that.

    Least amount of shotguns?

It could be done with one.......but why in the hell would you want to limit yourself? I have multiple gauges in multiple platforms. My standard dove/quail guns are a matched pair of Citoris in 12 and 20 gauge. I prefer the 20, but the 12 often proves necessary in high wind or when they are...

    Mossberg 20ga 505

Thanks for the replys guys. I'm 6'5 and youth guns are just so damned short (most production guns are too short for me) I assume everyone needs a longer length of pull. We go shoot today. We'll see how it fits her and go from there. My training, which I pass on to her, is to keep the gun...

    Mossberg 20ga 505

Had this gun laying around since my son outgrew it. Single mom in my area has need of a defense gun, (a real need!) Was wanting to put an adult sized stock, and a magazine extension on it. All my research here, Brownells, Midway, Mossberg etc has proved fruitless. Are 500 parts...

    Shot a Browning Auto5

A5's have been an old favorite of mine for years. Granddad's (both sides) shot them. They do have a deserved repution for kicking like a coliced mule. If you felt the recoil was 'light', odds are the round you were shooting was light and contributed to the failure of function on the auto...

    Armadillos

If you take the time to observe them when they run into holes, you may notice they don't go all the way in at first. They usually duck just under the surface with their tail and hindquarters still visible. Move slowly and deliberately and reach down and grab the tail. HOLD ON TIGHT. And by...

    Cooper or Kimber

I can vouch for both. I have an Kimber 84M in .22-250 Very nice trigger out of the box, I have had no work done to the Kimber and it out shoots my abilities. With that said I have a Cooper 22vr in .243 and it is a superb rifle. Probably better than the Kimber, but as I said with the...

Anyone here customized a Rem. 870 Express?

I bought some nicer wood off Ebay than what you see here. Added Mag extension, Williams Fire sights, and handmade leather butt cuff.
