OK, heres the straight scoop on The Sports Authority.
I am employed by the company and am running their highest volume hunting department. (In Cali no less).
The entire chain DID NOT get rid of the firearms, just certain stores that did not sell enough to warrent the continued waste of...
Nope, cant use our CCW to bypass anything except that stupid test you have to take to buy a handgun. Still have the 10-day wait.
But we dont use the NICS system, we have our own state run background system, useually called the DROS, which stand for Dealers Record of Sale. This is sumbitted by...
I sell a ton of Remingtons, ive never noticed anything that was reallt difficult to get off the weapon. Just use some Hoppe's #9 and wipe it down.
If you want something thats a pain in the ass to take off, try a factory shipped Beretta.
ArmedBear is 100% correct. I talked to the guys at the Beretta booth at the SHOT show and this is exactelly what they told me. The guy then took both the 390 and the 391 apart and explanined all the differences. I was pretty impressed.
Anyone have any information on Leitz binoculars? Are they part of Leica?
I have come across a pair of Leitz Trinovids 10x40 and I am at a loss as to what they are. They quality doesnt seem all that spectacular, but then again I dont have anything really great to hold them up to.
Any ideas?
The removal of the hunting category from certain stores has nothing to do with the company getting out of the hunting/firearms business. Its all about making money. They removed firearms from certain stores because the amoutn of inventory and space it took up did not make as much money as it...
Thast was a "Friends and family" discount that the company runs from time to time. Just sometimes they broadcast it to everyone. This time they seemed to have alot of exclusions on it though.
Some stores are getting out of the firearms because its a hge pain in the ass. Plus they cant get...
I agree with what MAgsnubby said,
McCormicks is a good place if you talk to John. that guy knows what hes talking about.
Ed over at Fresno firearms is an "interesting" person. Ive gone in their before asking prices on a couple handguns. His reply? "Why? are you gonna buy today? The price...
I just bought 2 kegs of AA2230 form powdervalley and I have been useing it for my .223 and I love it. Has anyone used it to load up some 45-70 loads? I dont want max pressure loads, but I do want something with a good pop. Gonna be fired in my Marlin 1895G, so dont worry about me trying to stuff...
none, we tend to sell more of the "traditional" hunting firearms. Plus the fact that the detachable AR15 is not allowed to be sold here in CA anyways.
there are more to firearms than the AR15. As hard is it is to believe.
I'm damn glad I got mine before the ban went into effect
Im gonna have to disagree with you on that one. California is probabaly the largest firearm market in the states. Just because you hear of Fienstein making here speaches doesn't mean we are all like that.
I sell more firearms in my store than anyone else in our company. And we have 400 stores...
ok, Im gonna be different and say Nikon Monarch line of scopes. Ive got 3 of them and have been very happy. The glass is as clear as the Leupold VX3 line, and it costs quite abit less. Same warrenty and everything
Ya'll are gonna hate me, I bought the Remmy. But I got it for $300. Came into a good clearance sale and took advantage of it.
N.I.B Rem 700 S/S for $300 is a hard thing to pass up
Now Ive got 3 rifles that I need scopes for
