    Want 40S&W handgun - Suggestions?

I would definitely echo the police trade-in route. However, I would and did choose the M&P Full Size police trade-ins. About three years ago I picked up one for a song. The trigger had been nicely broken in for me. It's dead nuts accurate and in great condition. Now its one of my favorite in my...

How to make my Kydex holster Less Slick?

I'm not asking if you think this is a good idea. I'm asking if you know of a good material that slightly increases friction over bare Kydex while maintaining comfort.

How to make my Kydex holster Less Slick?

Interesting thought, thank you JTQ. However, I'm wondering if this might reduce friction instead of increase friction as it describes the product as "...reduces any texture or friction and creates an even more comfortable carry solution". I'm wanting to increase the friction while still...

How to make my Kydex holster Less Slick?

I'm a happy user of an IWB Kydex Holster. I wear my IWB holster against my skin (yes, tucked into my boxers too). While this does create less movement and more friction, I would like to make the skin side of my kydex holster a little less slick so it stays in place even better. I do want...

    Thoughts on .32ACP pocket pistols

I have and love my 1st gen Kel-Tec P-32. It has been perfectly reliable through the years. The P-32 is incredibly concealable and ideal for the .32ACP round. All other pistols in this caliber seem unnecessarily big and heavy. If you insist on .32ACP, the P-32 is its best mate.

    S&W SD9VE round count. Just hit 4k

ugaarguy, 1) I was saying the SD9 was similar in weight to the Glock 19, not different. And, I'm saying that other Glock 19 competitors are usually heavier. 2) Oh yes, it is subjective just like 99% of the views here. However, Glock rarely wins popular accolades for its 2x4 like ergonomics. 3)...

    S&W SD9VE round count. Just hit 4k

In my opinion the SD9 is the most underrated self-defense pistol on the market! 1) It's the size and weight and function of the Glock 19. Other pistols similar in size are usually heavier, and weight is a notable factor in carry. 2) Its ergonomics, grip angle, and sights are FAR superior to a...

    Opinions appreciated - Walther PPQ

Many speak of the excellent trigger, and its true that the PPQ leads the pack. However, this trigger shines on the range, but in my opinion its too light for defensive work. It begs for an accidental discharge in a high stress defensive situation.

    Kahr Arms?

My smallest 9mm pistol is a Kahr PM9. It's small enough to pocket carry in some cases. While Kahr triggers are polarizing, I find that I really like the smooth and predictible DAO-ish trigger feel in my PM9. Then again, I'm of the opinion that many modern striker fired pistol triggers are too...

    Ruger EC9s

I own and carry the Ruger EC9s. It's not refined, but it is an effective, accurate, and reliable tool. The trigger pull is crisper and better than anything else in its class and price point. Personally, I think its almost too light, and thus I'm glad it has a safety for holstering and such...

    Least expensive favorite handguns (auto)

Another vote for the Ruger P95. I just picked up an older P95DC for $200, and I love it!

Do you still have your first concealed carry gun?

My first was a S&W 642 from 1992. To this day, it is still my most often carried gun.

Walther PPQ, Walther PPX, Glock 26, one has to go...

Keep the G26 I guess if I were you I'd get rid of one of the Walters and keep the Glock 26. The reason being that the Glock 26 is the easiest to carry of the three. You gotta have a carry gun!
