Purchased some 32 H&R Magnum from them when it was hard to find in my area. It is hot and accurate. I was very pleased. BTW, there's no relation that I know of.
I just received an Email that said that after 40 years Olympic Arms is closing its doors. That's a shame. I have one of their products and have been quite pleased with it.
Tough one to answer. It kind of depends on my mood. So I had to ask myself a slightly different question. Which one would be the last I would sell? Next to last = 1903A3, last = M1 Garand.
I sure would like to hear the story about the 1911 fish. I'd guess those are tough to clean!
I have to say 6.5x55 SE, since I own several rifles in that caliber. But for an almost favorite but still odd I'd say 7.5 x 55 Swiss. For just plain odd, that would be 32Win Self Loading. Fotunately I have the dies to reload that one.
Russian Ammo
I'm with RecoilRob on this subject. Not only that, but in my Hornady Reloading manual it says "foreign firearms have a .311 bore..... Ruger's Mini-30 has a .308 bore". The only factory ammo I've found with .308 bullets were UMC. They do work well and are more accurate.
I read a story on another forum where the guy tried dry ice. The case simply dropped out when he tipped the die over. He said it actually startled him and his buddy. But of course that was a story I read on the internet, FWIW.
Trying to be a supportive guy, I went to a cheerleading competition to see my stepdaughter compete. I swear it was louder than the Rolling Stones concert I once attended. I looked around and most of the other guys had ear plugs. They were obviously experienced.
26.0 gr. Varget, Rem 7 1/2 Benchrest primer, Rem case, Length = 0.065" on RCBS Precision Mic. for a COAL of 2.275"
Load appears slightly compressed.
2757 fps ave.
Best group so far is 0.42" @ 100 yds with a single pesky flier that technically made it a 0.625" group. :cuss:
Oh yea...
I use Lil'Gun for 32 H&R Magnum. I was having problems achieving published velocities until I switched to it on the recommendation of some folks on this forum. I don't remember who it was, but thanks anyway!
I bought brand new WIN 357 mag brass a while back, and about half of them wouldn't even fit in the shell holder. I won't say that I would never buy again, but they are definitely way down my list of preferences.
