I believe Rex B is thinking of Corbon DPX.
I don't really worry myself with .380 ballistic tests. If you're carrying a .380, you're already well aware that you have armed yourself with a smallish caliber. Instead I focus on a good quality round that I can shoot well with. I don't have the...
I just watched this new show on Spike called DEA. They are following around some DEA guys in Detroit and, as can be expected, the show is overly dramatic. I still found it mildly entertaining.
In one of their raids, they kept stressing that the dealer had a pistol and how dangerous she could...
I love my P11. It fit all the requirements I had when I purchased it. I wanted a light, small, 9mm pistol that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. After reading all the iffy statements about KT firearms, I half expected to get a lemon (I bought mine used). I have since fired maybe 700 rounds...
I carry my P11 in an IWB UBG holster. http://www.ubgholsters.com/
Good quality leather IMO although I'm not really an expert. This holster + a good belt makes for a nice carry.
My $390 Rock Island Armory 1911 has ate thousands of rounds of ammo without any more of a problem than a weak recoil spring which I remedied with a new Wolff spring. I only use Chip McCormick mags which do make a difference. The included Novak mag worked well but cheaper no-name mags are sort of...
Not really related.. but I was in GM last night and watched a "gun guy" get handed a gun, not check it for clear, and the proceed to point it at the clerk, at himself, and sweep everyone else at the counter with it. I wish they would stop showing guns to idiots like that.
I've found a few good...
I've had a C&R for at least a year now and I've never purchased a firearm with it. But it sure saved me a ton of money at Midway and Brownells! I've probably saved enough on gun accessories and reloading equipment to make it worth my while 5 times over.
Like everyone else has said.. you need a good belt and my suggestion is to grab an Uncle Mike's Instructor belt. It's < $30 from Midway and it has a poly insert to keep it stiff. If you're not in a situation where you need a nice looking leather belt, it's probably the most cost effective belt...
I haven't tried to pocket carry my P11 but it seems a tad bit big for that? I've dropped it in my cargo pocket once but without a holster to keep it situated, I found it very uncomfortable and it printed a bit more than I wanted. Got any pictures of what you carry it in?
To be a little more...
This thread made me look for more of Mr EoTech's posts.:D
I would recommend not sleeping with a gun in your hand when you're with your first, second, or possibly third wife. And especially not with 10-20 children running around the house. ;)
I love my Rock Island Armory 1911. I've seen them still going for $379 range at gun shows around my area. Depending on where you are, that's either a good price or too high.
I had some issues at first due to what appeared to be a weak recoil spring and poor choice of cheap magazines (my fault)...
I try to avoid it but looking in the gritty dirty chamber after only a couple hundred rounds usually makes me do something. Really, the re-assembly isn't _that_ hard but it is definitely something you gotta get used to. I find that I have to refer back to the manual when I do get around to...
