OK, one more time HP-38 & 115 gr RN

Over max but I've gone as high as 4.6g HP-38 under a 124g Berry PRN at 1.135 and 4.8g under a 125g Rem Golden Saber at 1.06 without issue

Accuracy in mine goes out the window once you go above 69g

    38 Super

I had a Rock Island in 45 a few years back, it was a great gun and I never had a single problem with it but those GI sights are TINY. I'm sure the Supers a fine as well. I sold it to a buddy and bought my first Colt.

    Tough decision...what would you do?

If the 1911 is truly original 1943 I'd trade in a heartbeat

    Model 70 push feed versions

I've owned a Model 70 in .270 Win that was made in '73 since the early eighties. It has always been my deer rifle and is very accurate. I've never had a single issue with it.

Whats your oldest dated surplus ammo

Don't want to de-rail a cool thread but I don't believe anything that comes from the UN, especially from the office of disarmament. That's just propaganda to get people to discard ammo and in their disillusioned eyes "save lives" The oldest stuff I have is '50s HXP 30.06 for my Garand and...
