Had a thought: E mailed S&W Governor Jr.

Take it easy tiger. Didn't say you couldn't or shouldn't make product requests. Just saying that it would need to be an overwhelming demand for such a product for S&W to add it to their catalog. I simply suggested a quicker route to achieve your stated goal. No need to get mad for the...

Had a thought: E mailed S&W Governor Jr.

You don't have to buy new to get a .45 Colt revolver. Taurus made the 450 in a snubby. Plenty of used Smith's around for under $600. S&W isn't going to change the design or offer an alternative cylinder based on only a few requests. Supply and demand rules the decision chain. No gun...

Just take any existing Taurus or S&W .45 colt revolver and have the cylinder face machined to take moon clips. Then you can do both.... Costs about $80.

    7mm-08 loads

Heck I use 140's for Elk and Black Bear. 120's work great on deer and mulies.... you must have a lot tougher deer than we do.

    7mm-08 loads

Just food for thought. I have 2 7mm-08's (both with sporter barrels) and each one has a sweet spot for a certain bullet weight. One of them shoot's 140's good enough for minute of deer (1.5 moa @ 100) but with 120gr's I can put 5 shots into the size of a dime at 100. The other rifle loves...

Having trouble deciding on 930 SPX or 1201FP

I have been going back and forth between the Mossberg 930 SPX and the Beretta 1201FP. Looking for feedback on these 2 shotguns and if one would be considered a better choice than the other. Thx

Anything wrong with the Lee Load All II?

I want to be able to hopefully load buck and slug rounds at a lower cost than purchasing. Since the volume won't be high is there anything wrong using the the Lee press? Other presses out there that I should consider over the Lee based on what I want to do?

Xdm 4.5 45, Witness 45 or FNP-45 Tact for suppressor

I am looking at getting an Osprey can in .45 as well as a new pistol to use with it. I have settled between these 3. Anyone have any feedback to offer on them? Ergonomics, accuracy, etc..

    7mm-08 question

I didn't say you had to limit yourself but you don't need the heavier loads. The 7mm-08 is wonderful round and can get it done on anything in the lower 49 within reasonable distances. Which I take you are shooting if you want to through 160-175 grainers. I think the 280 REM and 7mm RM would be...

    7mm-08 question

IMO, you are going the wrong way with loading heavy bullets like that for the 7mm-08. Don't see a need to go over 140 for deer, elk, mules, or black bear at reasonable ranges. 120gr TSX's with RE15 work quite well on Elk.

    More Gunshop Tomfoolery

Probably a good thing that it resulted in a lost sale.... Since he probably would have shot himself in the foot later that day. Can't tell you the number of people who have told me that their Grand Daddy was Gen. Patton's personal tank driver in the war.
