Setting at my desk now, I have a S&W model 10 in .38 spl. and my benchmade 940.

I see Taurus bashing all over the web, all I can say from personal experience is my model 82 4" I've had for 8 years has been great.

This weekend is tax free for the purchase of firearms & ammo. Are there any other states that do this ? I hope so.

I shoot mostly .22lr as far as round count goes. As for center fire, the top three would be. 1- 7.62x39 CZ 527 carbine, SKS 2- 38/357 Rossi 92, S&W model 10 3- 45acp Kimber custom tle II

For the last 3 years I've been using my Bark River gunny with CPM S35VN steel. That's a lot of deer and not one of them complained.

Firearms I plain on getting in order, Number one on my list is. 1- CZ 452 American in .22 mag. I have the same rifle in .22lr and .17hmr and really like them. 2- S&W k frame .357mag. ( 19/66 ) w/6"bl. or 6" L frame 3- Win. 70 lw in 7mm-08

I have a CZ 527carbine in 7.62x39 I use for deer hunting and every thing else. Very nice rifle, all steel & walnut. If I could get a CZ 527 American in .223 with a 1/9 twist I'd be on It like white on rice. I own 3 ruger firearms and like them a lot. Imho the ruger American is not in the same...

My local Walmart has a good selection of just about everything in center fire, with lots of Win, Rem and Fed 30-30 in both 150 & 170. the only rimfire they have is the new .17wsm. Like a lot of people, what I'm looking for is .22lr. sadly No joy. :(

yotesmoker, My CZ is a model 527 carbine in 7.62x39 the same model the OP asked about. They're also chambered in .223/5.56 mm.

I have both Leupold & Vortex scopes. the Leupolds I have are. VXII 3-9x33 efr rimfire VXII 2-7x33 VX2 4-12x40 ao, CDS VX2 6-18x40 ao, fd vx3 2.5-8x36 b&c The Vortex Viper's are 6.5-20x50 TD two, 2-7x32's I like the Viper's a lot, they're not going any where. but IMO the VX2/VX3...

I have one and love It. A 150lb. deer where I live is a big deer, shooting a Sierra .311 125gr. spritzer, with a max charge of Accurate 1680 I get about 2,450 fps. I'm good to go out to 200-250yds, a long shot around here. I've also worked up some cast loads that shoot well. It's my #1 cf rifle...

I'd buy a LRB Arms M14SA, I would have to add a little money :uhoh:

When out scouting for deer or just bumming around in the woods, I carry my Rossi 92 in .357 magnum. If It's Deer season I'll have my CZ 527 carbine in 7.62x39.
