    Hello, I just discovered that my father in law has left me a Model 39-A with a serial number E25xxx. I believe that is a 1948 manufacture date. The rifle is perfect because he kept it in a rifle sleeve and never banged it around. I have several other .22 rifles but this one is so much stouter...
