Very nice S&W rimfire...l believe all rimfire cylinders are recessed.. l know all Colt and S&W revolvers are...Even on my cheap High Standard Sentinel is. MY H&R too
Guys in my IHMSA matches that shoot revolvers are mostly using Freedom Arms Silh model. Behind door #2 are the Dan Wessons. l head up the rear with my Smith & Wessons. Colts are never seen. But the Python is #1 in my voting.. l had to let mine go during A jobless stretch in my life around 2009.
Very nice gun.. l doubt you could want for a nicer 357 than a 6'' 686..Great for hunting, targets, or carrying. l doubt you could wear it out either.
Congratulations !!
lts been 4 yrs since l first talked about 41 magnums in post #167 of this very thread... Some additions have come to my 41s. l now have a SW 657 PC170125 that l shoot regularly...0nly 137 of them made...41s are made to be SHOT,not just looked at..Also a TC Contender41mag 14'' arrived around...
l just bought a 629 PC hunter recently...a tu/tone model, mine came with a red/dot site from the factory.. l do like the red/dot site.. My first experience with one, works great for old eyes.. l have not yet shot it without the dot..Very good choice Mike.. l fired some PMC 180GR IN IT. So far it...

Because of limited access to reloading components in my area l tend to buy whatever is in stock locally. l recently wanted to load some 357 but was unable to because my guy had no small pistol primers. l had a large supply of small rifle ones and decided to use them. What do you know!! they went...
IM--May l suggest you have your friendly local gunshop send it back. lt will save you a bundle in shipping. Mine does that for me. About 15 bucks either way.
