    DIY camouflage finish.

I did my H&R Pardner with Rustoleum camo. 3 colors. Khaki base coat, followed by brown and green, applied with scraps of sponge, just dabbed on. Cheap to do. 20170323_181656 by swampboy posted May 3, 2017 at 6:04 PM

    Scattergun Tech MIM extractor???

My Express HD is 15 years old and has the MIM extractor. It hasn't been shot all that much though. Still, I'd think that Wilson Combat would change out this relatively inexpensive part on a "custom" build. If for no other reason, to appease the many customers who might not like/trust MIM parts...

    Scattergun Tech MIM extractor???

I was puzzled by something that I noticed while watching a Hickok45 video. On his Scattergun Tech 870, there appears to be a MIM extractor installed. I'm not knocking ST/Wilson Combat at all, I'm just wondering that, if ST/WC doesn't have a problem with the MIM ext, then is it really that big of...

Which .22 revolver would you recommend?

Yep, my Bounty Hunter is a heavy, full-sized SA revolver. That's fine with me though, since it somewhat mimmicks my .357 Vaquero in size and weight while being CHEAP to shoot. :D

Which .22 revolver would you recommend?

Not to drag up an old thread, but I just purchased an EAA Bounty hunter in .22lr / .22WMR and I'm very happy with it after putting about 350 rounds through it. I'm a Ruger guy from way back and currently own several Ruger revolvers, including a Vaquero in .357 that I'll keep forever. A...

    Mossy 500sp persuader 8shot owners..input please.

FWIW, I prefer the 500A with the 5-shot tube. IIRC, the 5-shot models have an 18" barrel as opposed to a 20" on the 7-shots. I prefer the shorter barrel over the 2 extra shots. You can also probably find the more common 5-shots cheaper and you'll have the added option to add a longer hunting...

BRAND NEW 870 vs BRAND NEW Mossy 500

Look in the chamber. There's a very good chance that there's a rough "overspray" in there from where they put that "finish" on the 870. A couple of minutes of fine steel wool or Scotch-Brite wrapped around a wooden dowel on an electric drill usually fixes the problem.

    H&R Protector

Nothing wrong with the H&R Protector. I wish I'd bought a truckload of them about six years ago when they started showing up in my neck of the woods for $149.

    NEF Protector or Mossberg 500sp

^^This^^ I have both. Everything Max said is dead on. The only reasons I'd get the 500 would be for the lighter weight or if I preferred the safety location more so than an "870" setup. Don't get me wrong though. I like Mossbergs too!

    Need help with Tupperware Troubleshooting...

Wolf pistol primers have been reported to have a higher misfire rate than other brands, but not that high. Maybe a detail strip of the slide and clean out the firing pin (striker) channel might be in order. How many rounds have been fired through the Glock?

    Which Ruger auto?

I had only Ruger autos for twenty years. First a P89, then a P95. Last year, sold the P95 to fund a Glock deal. A few weeks later, sold the P89 to fund another Glock. The rest is history. The Rugers were too big and heavy for a 9MM pistol, even the relatively smaller P95. Built like a tank...

    Lee Safety Scale Trouble

I started out with the Lee scale. It was very accurate, but way too much of a pain to set and use. Found a good deal a few years ago on an RCBS 5-0-5 on ebay. Never used the Lee again. I'm a big, big fan of Lee products, but not the scale.

    Reloading bench coating?

If I were you. I'd rethink making the bench desk height. Mine is counter-top height and I use a stool. I find that I stand about as much as I sit. If you build it lower, you'll not be able to stand up and use it. As for the coating, I used some interior semi-gloss latex paint that I had laying...
