    Tikka bolt rifles

My Tikka T3 Composite stock, stainless is 6.5x55 is my favorite rifle. Great for white tail. I hand load my hunting rounds. Smooth action, detachable box magazine is my preference. I carry a small and larger capacity mag into the woods. Trigger is smooth but a little light compared to my...

My 5-gallon bucket bullet trap was getting heavy

Great idea. I need to upgrade my outdoor pistol range.

    Is skeet the least popular?

Our club is dominated by the trap leagues. Skeet ranges are used, but not as overflowing. 5-stand is newer and growing. Shot my second round of skeet last week. Some old timers were present to walk me and my other trap squad members through the stations. Very helpful. Swanee

    A day in the woods....ruined...

When I am grouse hunting out in the Woods of Northern MN, I am always picking up beer cans and wrappers. I just do not understand the piggish mentality. I am 52 years old. My dad would have rung my neck if he caught me dumping trash and litter in the woods. I do not understand some people...

RCBS lockout die for XL 650 -- need help

Amazing what you learn at The High Road. Someone is always willing to help a comrade in arms and has the answer. Swanee

    A Red guy went Blue

Seriously, I would like to get an auto-indexing progressive. I like having a couple presses setup for different purposes and calibers. Swanee

    A Red guy went Blue

I own green (rcbs rock chucker), red (Lee classic turret), red (MEC 9000g, 600jr) and even blue (550b). I never really understood the color wars. We are all faithful hand loaders and brass recyclers. I would love to get a good deal on a new Hornady or Dillon press. I would like to try a LNL...

What is the last gun that you bought?

Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus 12g 26” barrel for pheasants this Fall. Can you yell ROOSTER!

    Electronic Hearing Protection

I use my pair of Peltor at the range. While shooting trap, I have a little trouble with interference with my cheek weld and I wear one foam plug in one ear. The Peltors can loose the seal from contact with my stock. When hunting, they are not as comfortable on hot pheasant days. They also get a...

    Remington 740, 742, 7400

I can not disagree with the comments in the thread. I have owned a 742 in .30-06 for many years. I have shot many deer in the deep woods. I hunt in the cold. On two ocasions, I got my deer with the first shot and the second round failed to chamber. It is a rifle that is difficult to trust. Last...

    Harbor Freight dual drum tumbler

Like many others, I have the HF double tumbler. Wet tumbling win Dawn and Lemishine works great. I will never go back to dry tumbling. In the end, Jo Jo is correct. Purchase the bigger Franklin unit. The HF is too small of volume, but work fine for small batches. Swanee

    Dillon 650 question

I also have a 550b. I have been contemplating purchasing a XL 650 for some pistol and .223 reloading. I was thinking of loading small primer pistol and .223 on the 650 and leave my 550 setup for large primer pistol. My large rifle hunting rounds I do on a Lee Classic turret and a Rockchucker...

    Electronic Hearing Protection

Auto power off is a must. My Peltor Tactical Sports shut off after Two Hours. Uses standard batteries like AA's is another must.
