As a knowledgeable firearm owner, you should never put any faith in a mechanical safety. That being said, the sad reality is that there is a fair amount of gun owners who do not practice as they should and purchase affordable firearms like this solely to keep in a nightstand until needed. Those...
Has anyone tried a MecTec carbine conversion in .357 Sig? IMO that cartridge really bridges the gap between a pistol cartridge and a small rifle cartridge very well. I'm surprised that more PCC manufacturers don't offer that chambering. SC
Does the NICS stay open on Holidays? ie, observed Veterans day, ie...today? I'm not sure, and would rather look foolish to you guys, rather than walk into the shop and look foolish to them. :)
THANKS
Old revolvers aren't exactly my bailiwick, but somehow I got roped into working on and old S&W Model 30. Hammer wouldn't stay back and dbl action trigger would bind up. Took the side plate off and it looked like someone had filled the action with superglue. The guy used about 50 years of WD-40...
Call Whitetail Outfitters at 381-9790 and talk to Darrell. He'll order whatever you want, and try hard to beat any other prices. I wouldn't by from anywhere else around here. His shop is on Route 8 out towards Riner. Should take you about 20-25 minutes from campus. -SC
Strong side hip (or 4 o'clock, as others call it) is the only way to carry a full size auto. It is comfortable to drive with everyday. Xdraw and s.o.b. are all bad news. If you carry a small frame auto or snubbie, you then have the option of pocket carry, which I also recommend to students. - SC
I just threw up a little in my mouth after reading that crap.
I just love the way she conveniently writes off the sick and elderly at the beginning, and doesn't explain what to do about them. Obviously, they aren't worthy of the right of protecting themselves.
I also love the way she...
Thanks for the post Vern. I am going to print your letter out and pass this out at our next Personal Protection course. Your case is an excellent example of the responsibility that you undertake when you choose to carry a firearm for self defense. It also drives home the fact that those of us...
Is this kind of along the same train of though that I teach in our Personal Protection class about home defense and the use of a saferoom?
Oh wait, in a saferoom you are supposed to have your firearm and ammunition in there (if you don't have it with you allready) and a means to communicate...
Hey Karz10, I would like to see that reference to the 33 rnd mags. The only thing I can find on the magazine capacity is an article that was printed 2 days ago that says...
"...Cho reloaded several times, using 15-round magazines for the Glock and 10-round magazines for the Walther...
MDAO - this article written today, states the Walther .22 was purchased from a pawn shop on February 9th and the Glock 9mm on March 12 from Roanoke Firearms.
This leaves one month for him practice and practice. However, mid-late February was nasty cold here, and there aren't too many indoor...
I just love people who say that there is no need for a firearm in self defense. They always say that they can learn a martial art and defend themselves.
I say bullcrap! That takes a level of dedication that very few people are able to maintain. Just learning a few moves and holds one...
