I pocket carry a Taurus TCP in a DeSantis Nemesis, and it stays on me as long as I am wearing street clothes. Some days that means it stays with me until I go to bed, but most of the time I change into shorts or sweats when I get home from work and the pistol goes into the nightstand drawer...
Honestly the Tapco T6 is just about the best, and I have tried several. The Tapco has required NO cutting or filing or Dremeling and I've had it on four different 10/22s.
I heartily agree with post #60. This forum is simply not the place to discuss real-world interactions with firearms. And that's sad considering the vast wealth of technical wisdom and know-how that is available here.
I was in my local Wallyworld (eastern 'burbs of Charlotte) just a few hours ago and they had 10 or more 20 round boxes of both Remington and Federal 30-30. Didn't note the bullet weights as I don't own a rifle in that caliber.
This particular Wal-mart has had most everything back in normal...
A couple of years ago they opened one of their new "Firearms Super Centers" in Monroe, NC (eastern 'burbs of Charlotte). It is basically the reverse of a regular Gander Mountain: 80% firearms and ammo and 20% everything else. It's a fun place to browse and get to actually handle a huge array of...
I've never owned a Hi Point handgun, although I've handled and fired a few and found no issues with them beyond the fact that they are butt ugly.
I have owned one of the carbines (in .45) for about three years now and have found it to be accurate, fun to shoot, and an overall excellent value...
This is just amazing to me. Here in North Carolina, we have "resource officers" who are actually assigned to each middle school and high school. They are there almost all day every day, in full uniform and fully armed.
Actually Midway has bricks of Aguila lead round nose 40 grain for .09/rnd in stock ready to ship. I know, I know. A year ago that would have been highway robbery. Today? At least they have it.
A .410 bore long gun loaded with either these or these would certainly work just fine for home defense. I'm still unconvinced about the threat stopping abilities of these loads out of a three inch barrel, however.
As has already been pointed out, United Methodists vary a great deal from congregation to congregation. The national organization has become increasingly knee-jerk liberal over the past 15 years or so, but the local churches - particularly those in the rural South - don't pay much if any...
I see your point and won't argue, but - for me - .10/round isn't that terrible. Certainly not when compared to the prices the ummm... entrepeneurs are asking on gunbroker.
I suspect that the days of sub-nickel-per-round .22lr are never coming back.
It's not nearly as insane as CTD trying to get .30/round for it.
I just (literally less than 5 minutes ago) hit Midway and snagged two bricks of Federal 40gr LRN for $38/brick. By the time I paid shipping it ended up being just over .10/round. Yes I know that you could buy it for $22/brick in...
I solved my 10/22 sight visibility problem with a combination of a Skinner Lo-Pro rear peep sight (scroll about 2/3 down the page to see a 10/22) and a dash of fluorescent orange paint down the back of the front sight blade. Half the cost of the Tech Sights, but no windage or elevation adjustment.
