Well, that was a weird turn

    Nice shooting! :)

Taurus hit a Grand Slam with this gun.

Nice one! Mine is from 1989 or so. They're good shooters.

Is everyone still loving their Ruger Wranglers?

I have two Single Sixes and a Rough Rider. My friend has a Super Wrangler. The Single Sixes are pretty much the gold standard for SA 22 revolvers. The Super Wrangler is a very similar revolver, built of different materials. Its loading gate and cylinder work differently than the "regular"...

    637 vs LCR

I have two SP101's, several S&W j-frames, and an LCR. I prefer the LCR. It has the best trigger, easily. Might be the lightest by an ounce or so. (I have the 38 special version.) I like my j-frames. They're shaped differently than the LCR. I carry my Model 642 instead sometimes, if it fits my...

Well, that was a weird turn

Yeah. Mine cost $50 used. Something like that. When I was young, every country house seemed to have a single-shot shotgun somewhere near the door. My ex FiL was bitten by a small copperhead in his yard a couple of weeks back. It made him very sick. Zero stars. Would not recommend.

    .22 revolver?

IMHO, @Mauser lover is correct, in that my used Browning Buck Mark, Ruger Standard, and Ruger Mark II were cheaper than good 22 revolvers. Their good sights and triggers make them easy to shoot accurately. I like my K22 better, and its trigger is very nice, but the sights are a little smaller...

    Colt Series 80, Government .380

The Government 380 has a locked breech. That and the weight make it a very soft shooter. My daughter was about nine when she shot it for the first time.

Well, that was a weird turn

There used to be the occasional copperhead in my backyard, and lots of feral cats. After I put up a good fence, the presence of my large dog has discouraged these visitors. I will occasionally see a very small snake when mowing the yard. If it gets too close for comfort, the mower itself is a...

    Two of S&W best ever

Funny thing, I've got a dozen or so S&W revolvers, but no L-frames.

    Colt Series 80, Government .380

Mine is a great shooter. Got it when my daughter was a little girl and was getting bored with 32acp.

Firing a DA revolver in SA mode

FWIW, if you're getting light strikes with certain ammo or something, cocking the hammer back can give a slightly harder strike on the primer.

    .22 revolver?

I've owned a bunch of them. Here are some I remember off the top of my head: Taurus 942 - stiff trigger, didn't know enough to change the springs Taurus Tracker 22 - stiff trigger, didn't know enough to change the springs High Standard Sentinel - one cylinder shot a flier every time FIE single...

Well, that was a weird turn

My dog fights (and usually eats) anything that comes into the backyard. The other morning I saw a bobcat in the ally. There is also the occasional copperhead when I'm mowing. I have a Judge, and various shotguns, but for snakes a hoe is better because I don't want to shoot my dog by mistake...

"Oh my Gawd....do you have a gun in every room?"

Maybe off-topic on a gun forum, but if you have a loaded firearm in every room of your home, or on your person at all times, it seems very odd not to have a decent dog to help out with security. Mine weighs 100 pounds. If anyone is anywhere near the house, he lets me know. It's a small house...

DAO Only Hammer-fired Pistol other than Sig P250??

I think I may have owned one of those for a year or two, recently. Again, it was dirt cheap. Not a great trigger, but it went bang every time.
