    Springfield Armory Customer Service

I have only had one out of a bunch of Springfield pistols have any trouble (a trigger double step issue) and they fixed it correctly and returned it within three weeks. I will be a customer for life (enjoying the lifetime warranty) because of their excellent service.......a rare commodity in a...

    List your state

Texas, better than some. CCW for handguns in your car for all non-felons over 21. Open carry for any long gun, anywhere, loaded or not, but I wouldn't try it down town in a metro. Your car is covered by the "Castle Doctrine", as is your house.

    Dry Fire Exercises

I use an airsoft 1911 clone, with accurate safeties, hammer, racking, and trigger (sort of). Weight is pretty close to an alloy pistol.

    Lever Gun.... .357 or .44 ?

The .357 is a fun gun. Carry one in the truck at the ranch. Works fine for short range deer, less than 100 yards. It'll shoot 38's, so it's cheap for plinking.

Why do I shoot soooo much better with revolvers?

That was my first "real" gun, too. I am much more accurate with my 6.5" black hawk in .357 than any of my high dollar 1911's. Maybe the longer bbl, maybe the extra 50K of rounds I have shot through it in the last 40 years, maybe all of those early years with toy SAA cap guns...I don't have an answer

    Historical Holster Position Question

From what I understood, it increased the cant for riding horseback. A lot of the Texas Rangers in the mid-1800's carried crossdraw because their primary weapon was a rifle when on horseback, used on their strong (right side) in most cases. The low slung, straight cant holsters, were a figment of...
